About me

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in elementary education from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, and a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Education with childhood education specialization from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I am married to David Phillips –a pastor, teacher, mentor, and coach.

I have ministered as Children-Family Minister in Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, and Delaware.

I taught as adjunct faculty and have worked as a children’s ministry consultant for a private Christian college in Birmingham, Alabama.

I currently work as lead teacher at an early childhood learning center.

I participated in an expert interview by Children’s Ministry Academy to help teach and train their students in the children’s ministry certificate program.

I serve as a peer reviewer for National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
