About me

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in elementary education from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, and a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Education with childhood education specialization from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I have ministered as Children-Family Minister in Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, and Delaware. I am currently Preschool Director at a church weekday preschool center. I serve as a children’s worship volunteer leader and teacher at my church on Sunday.

I taught as adjunct faculty and have worked as a children’s ministry consultant for a private Christian college in Birmingham, Alabama, to help them reorganize their program.

I have taught as lead teacher at an early childhood learning center. I brought in extra activities and events to the school to introduce the early childhood preschool students to community helpers and others within the community. I invited a popular television news anchor to visit the school. I invited public school system administrators to visit and read books to the students to establish a connection and partnership in the early education field. I had the governor and lieutenant governor read books to preschool students via Skype.

I invited a US Congressman to visit the ‘I Love America’ themed preschool graduation ceremony and received letters from a now former president and first lady and governor and his wife (they were currently in office at the time of the graduation).

I participated in an expert interview by Children’s Ministry Academy to help teach and train their students in the children’s ministry certificate program.

I serve as a peer reviewer for National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
