They’ve got an app for that

iPhone has an application for almost anything a person needs or wants. Children, even preschoolers, can play games. Babies can be calmed with rattlers and soothing sounds. There’s even an app to use as a baby monitor. Read this article for some of the things people are using their iPhones.
So what do you think about this? Is this healthy for parents to do, having them on an ipod so early in life? Should we do be doing that?
This can lead to too much screen time. As teachers, we have to limit students’ computer time, DS time, etc. Some of these iPhone apps sound like pacifiers, like the White Noise Lite, but it could be like music to drown outside noise so children can nap easier.
As with anything, I guess, it’s all in moderation, with limits, not meant to take away from verbal communication and personal touches.
