In my 3-4 year old early childhood class yesterday we looked at a picture of the White House displayed on the side of one of the shelves in the classroom. We talked about the events in Washington, D.C., yesterday and that a new president would soon move into the White House. When asked the new president’s name who will now live there, one 3 year old friend quickly said “James Bond.”
Now how was I supposed to go on with the circle time current event discussion after that?
Another friend, a 4 year old, knew right away that wasn’t the correct answer and she said “Barak Obama.” Whew! Glad that was straightened out.
